30 gedachten over “Why Ethereum Mining Is Actually Dead #Shorts in 2023”

  1. This may affect gpu prices for a little bit but there is still stuff that can be mined with a gpu so anyone who has yet to hit a good roi will probably just switch.

  2. Nodes validators still burn a lot of electricity. Although the consumption has been reduced significantly, it's not going to make it as good as the claims are. On top of this, Vitalik's claim of reducing the world's power consumption by .2% by this move is just flat out false. I would love to see and analyze the proof of this.

  3. I wonder how much electricity the whole world banking system uses.

You know… Them ATM machines that use CRT monitors and are on 24/7 and include security systems and massive server setups and big network infrastructure.

A couple of GPUs surely isn't as bad as that?

  4. Unfortunately you need 25 ETH to stake and most of the ETH is held by exchanges anyway, so the network became totally centrally controlled overnight. Ruined.

  5. And now we also have a decentralised Network that is controlled by the people with the most money

  6. So… How will it work? What will keep it up? We don't need miners?

  7. It also allows it to be centralized now negating the whole point of the coin 😂

  8. So all the currency will now be stashed away to gain "value", instead of actually being used?

Fr man i really try to see crypto as more then just a joke but sometimes it's realy hard.

  9. So noting will change just electricity?
    Lamo etj will get fucked

  10. Crypto is going to die (i didn't buy this nft i stole it from a disgruntled commenter)

  11. Lol a little late on the video guys. 🎉

Still love your content Linus is the reason I got into tech repair years ago.

  12. I'm just happy that there will be a surge of gpus everywhere, which means gpu prices will be even more less… that's if miners think about the planet and not throw away any gpus, instead selling it all to people like me.

  13. And it will make the Ethereum coin just another coin that gonna die out because of self inflating value because miners don't put value in it by burning

  18. I'm confused, I thought cryptocurrencies got their value from the electricity and hardware costs it takes to mine them. Where does ethereum get its value now?
