For the first time EVER Battlestate Games have put out an actual roadmap for Escape from Tarkov of what they plan to do over the next few tarkov patches so I figured we’d go over them. So for patch 13.05 we have lots of fixes including the flashlight fix. Theres also going to be changes to the headset system whatever that means as well as the AI voiceline system it sounds like this update is a lot of sound fixes and updates in general. #escapefromtarkov #tarkov #tarkovnews #tarkovupdate

Although I do sometimes get a hand from BSG and occasionally get to talk to Nikita or other members of the team, I do not work for BSG. I also work entirely off public information and past experiences of working in game dev myself, as well as following this game closely for several years. Unless I state very clearly otherwise, the information you’re about to hear should be taken as speculation. You can either get no information or speculation, that’s all we have to go off of these days unfortunately which is why it’s easier to just say Thursday whenever anyone asks for dates. If you want hard facts and dates you won’t get them, period.

  1. I am pretty much sure there will be wipe before 13.1 or with this patch and 14.1 wont make it until december. There is a lot of work for them to do and i see no chance it will be done before end of the year

  2. Okay, so I think something cool that BSG could add is the ability to visit other players hideouts like, you meet up at the player's hideout before you load into raid.

  3. bruh 60 players is going to be nuts just imagine customs, streets, reserve or even factory It'll feel like the opening scene in battle field 1.

  4. I was playing this morning and when I try to log on 30 minutes ago the launcher cannot connect to the game servers, so I tried to go to the website, it too would not load, I checked my computer and everything else is working and connecting just fine, what in the hell is going on?

  5. Shoulder Switching is such a big change to the entire flow of high level pvp

    (For not knowing people:
    Has ~700 rpm full auto
    Has ~1000 rpm two round burst (can be 'hyperbursted' [aka full auto via spam of burst][1000 rpm 5.45])
    And semi auto

  7. Im always excited to hear BSG is working on things to do with the shooting. Hit registration, and player synchronization has ALWAYS been a huge issue (which has gotten much much more reliable over time but still occurs regularly depending how much you play and how aggressive you are). Which I feel like is a huge thing that keeps new players from playing and STICKING with the game. Its not JUST that its hard. Its that you can depend on the game doing its part to keep up with things going on in the map. Its hugely RNG based and not just mechanically speaking but in terms of wtf is the server doing rn. Am I gonna desynch in the middle of this gun fight and none of my hits register? Am I gonna see people teleporting corners from dsync this raid and so on and so on. I have seen ALOT of people pick this game up super interested only to set it down in a week because they just dont enjoy getting tarkovd constantly in this semi broken game lol

    And I cant blame em. I just keep playing because I know one day itll be there finally. Tarkov is kind of like being addicted to heroine. lol maybe im just chasing the dragon on this one lol And I thought they scrapped the idea of armor plates? hmm guess not huh?

    And I don't agree with dynamic loot boxes. The loot inside them is already dynamic so why make the boxes themselves also dynamic in where they spawn? I think as they are it offers more tactical gameplay around loot. I'm not opposed to ADDING more loot boxes that maybe do change spawn locations and contain higher tier loot chances and such things, but I think the majority of loot boxes staying the SAME is more beneficial to the gameplay than it being one big slot machine. I for see big game breaking issues out of this. Things where the maps will spawn empty and all the loot will basically be in one section of the map and since its basically procedural nobody will have a game plan really upon spawning for loot. and this will lead to big empty sections of the map and issues like that. I think its FAR mor beneficial to game play to just add new special loot boxes that change spawns every map. Maybe like, a special boss stash box for every map that's similar to an airdrop in size but depending on the boss contains different high level gear/ weapons but leave everything else as it is.

  8. Optimization and synchronization is ALL they should be focused on right now.

  9. Honestly a quick Wipe could be quit a fun thing.
    Since we have verry limited time to progress most people wont be able to reach endgame.

    BSG could cut the quests for this one wipe and lower lv requirements for the traders.
    That way the only way to level up is to actually play raids and pvp / pve.
    In addition to that they could give us weekly events and pretty much turn the "smal Wipe" into an extendet "pre- wipe " event.

    Since .14 will bring quite allot of changes to the overall movement. looting and gear , this "smal Wipe" would be our last chance to play "The old meta" and give it a proper goodbye.

    However I dont know if BSG would actually do something like this or if people would actually like that kind of "extendet pre- wipe"…

  11. What about better Anti Cheat? nice if all changes come, but if cheaters destroy you it doesnt really matter

  12. Did I miss something or they already forgot about the "little" cheater problem? Not finding anything relating anti cheat measures.. so I guess same old same old even when they put out a road map.

  13. Whole bunch of SoonTM BS. I won't play a wipe that only lasts 2 months. Waste of time. Roadmap is worthless without even date estimates.

  14. I don’t think it’s 60 PLAYERS in a raid but rather 60 entities in a raid at once

  15. doesn't make sense to drop technical updates and then change the core of the game… huh?

  16. Increasing the server pop to anything more than it is, is going to make this game horribly worse than it already is

  17. I gotta be honest, as long as they stay ontop of the hacking situation all I really want aswell is an overhaul to reduce the into-raid loading times. If it didn't take like 5-10 minutes of waiting just to get in it would be significantly less stressful. But you pair back to back death streaks with a bullshit time waste that wears you down quick.

  18. i agree that both might wipe but the timing on 14.0.0 might take more then 2 months. They even spaced it out so its 12 ticks compared to the 8 ticks, maybe that means something maybe it doesn't
